End Of June

Three people left today. Oh... from work.
I've written about it before though my office will be closed sometime next year. I'm guessing it would be end of March. So I'm planning my long vacation... well, planning to study something overseas for a while. French for sure and maybe something interesting if I could find some.

Anyways, had 10 mins rain last night and another 10 mins during the day. sigh...

(!!! Where is the spell check button?!)

Water Shortage

It's been 17 days since they officially called it's rainy season.
Not only ONE rainy DAY since then. (had an hour or so rain once)
Sunny and no rain.
Not many rainy day we have every year, but this year is really bad.
50% cut in water intake.
About 10 years ago, we had the weather like this and there was no water from the tap. 100% cut. Except between 7 - 8 in the morning and 6 - 7 at night. (or something like that, can't really remember) We have a well at our house. So it wasn't too bad for us...
I was out today to get haircut. I had to stop to get some cold drink before I headed home.

Tired... will stay home tomorrow... now, going to the gym.

Typical Tuesday

I have Tuesday off almost every week. Because I take my French lesson on Tue.
So my typical Tuesday is... get up around 9. Going to the gym for a couple hours, go home, eat lunch and go to my French lesson.
Today was one of those typical days... But I have a session with my trainer at the gym this morning. We made a new program for my work out. It became bigger than before, maybe it takes me about 3 hours to do all the stuff at once. Will see how it'll be like...

Last few days, I've watched couple movies.
The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou - Bizarre. I liked The Royal Tenenbaums better.
Hitch - Cute.

Sunday Afternoon

Day off today. Haven't really had a Sunday off lately. Though feels like any other day offs. I would feel the difference if I go out to the mall or something.

I'm still skeptical about this whole thing...

Lunch

My lunch today.

Udon.
I should learn how to make good Udon soup, then I can pretty much live in anywhere. And not missing good Udon...

Music Meme

I brought a cup of tea and was ready to snuggle up with a book.
Then orange bar flashing on my PC.

"I passed the baton."
from Nicole.

And here I am, thinking about anything but the music.

Total volume of music files on my computer: 97 songs / 6.2 hours / 411 M
(I don't keep many stuff in my PC... :p)

Song playing right now: Eels - Novocaine for the Soul

The last CD I bought: Weezer - make believe, Joel Plaskett - La De Da, Sloan - A sides win
(I bought them all together.)

Five songs or tunes I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me:

Semisonic - Chemistry When I watched a movie "40 days 40 nights" this song stuck in my mind even though I have their CD which has this song somewhere in my room and haven't touched it probably since the next day I bought it. Now I have this song in my PC and keep listening.

Weezer - Across the sea Some private story behind this song.

Sloan - Everything you've done wrong One of the very first band I was hooked when I lived in TO first time. And this is the first song I really loved.

Ironic - Alanis Morissette The song I studied in English school.

Barenaked Ladies - If I Had $1000000 The song I didn't study in English school. My teacher Cathy didn't want to use it as teaching material because every other teachers were using it. Oh and they are the first Canadian band I've ever seen live.

What music have you been listening to recently that is rocking your world?:

Jack Johnson - I actually didn't like him before. But now I just love him. I guess now I can take things slowly, relax and take my time, then his music come to my heart.

Wintersleep - My friend introduced me to this band... (and he plays in the band) First I was just proud of my friend, but now I love their sounds. (and proud of my friend)

Justin Rutledge - I like his voice, somehow sweet and sad.

Akeboshi - I bought some of his CDs for my friend Andrea though never listened his music till about a week ago. It brew my mind.

I'm passing the baton to:

No-sword
green tea
water underground
Sizzpop
Papaya
Donkeymon

Scenery

Some things make me feel it's summer here.

Planted rice.

Painted toe nails.
Spent my day off going to the gym. Finally talked to my trainer. Then did some errands. Finally I sent a package from Canada to J. (souvenir from last month) Went to the French lesson. I guess I did well for one day. One more day off tomorrow. I might just stay in and study or read. Seems it'll be rain.

Working Holiday in Australia

Today I found this article. (in Japanese only)
From November, you can stay in Australia for two years for working holiday. IF you work in a farm for more than three months.
People who's been to Australia for working holiday before and also had worked in farms for more than three months also can get the visa again. IF you are still between 18 to 30 years old.
Once I thought about going there for the working holiday though I missed the opportunity. But I think I will visit there one of these days. :)

MSN My Space

I haven't checked it till tonight.
And I decided to write there some stuff. Cuz only those people on my MSN messenger list can read it. That's very good. No offence to some kind readers here. But sure there's some jerks.
Anyways, nothing much happening here.
It's been hot... (yeah I guess I've been saying that every time)
Today I didn't go out. Stayed in. Slept. Slept about 15 hours. And few hours reading.
I have some emails to write back, some reports to read and some packages to make/send. I should do some stuff on Friday... :p

Nice Day

But TOO HOT damn it!

I was my mom and aunt's driver today. After I drove them somewhere, I had few hours to kill. So I went to the library. I haven't been there for more than 10 years...

Saturday afternoon... now I know where everybody goes. THE LIBRARY. They have HUGE parking lot. And look! It's pretty much full. I found that in the library, it's not even cool. Of course not hot, but I felt not cool enough. I left and stayed at the lobby. Felt bit cooler. haha
But I love the quiet atmosphere. I love being around lots of books. Librarian was one of the jobs I wanted to do when I was a kid. I can survive pretty much anything if I have enough books to read.

June

June. Rainy season is coming...

It was rain today. I went out for a lunch by myself to a cafe which is close to my work.
Had a nice cup of Earl Grey after lunch.
Small things make me happy. So I guess I'm in a good mood.
