Pomegranate

I've only eaten pomegranate once in my life.
It was when I was 8 or so.
It was sour and blood like metallic taste.
I really believed pomegranate tastes like human being. Of course I still don't know if it's true or not.

Movie

I watched The 40 year old virgin.
Quite funny. I liked it more than Wedding Crashers. Wedding Crashers, I usualy think that kind of movie funny, though somehow I didn't like it at all.

I just think that if you have something so good, you wouldn't be happy with something just good. Oh it's nothing relates to the movies.
It's like I can always rent this car which is good and reliable. And there's an offer to have another car. The new car is also good and maybe have more stuff like GPS. I thought I would just go for the new car, but now I'm not so sure about the new one. It sounds very nice though I need to test drive first. The old one is not mine though I can drive it when I need it. The new one, if I pay the price it can be mine.
At this moment I would go for the old car. If I find more good things about the new one, I probably will change my mind.
And I'm not really talking about cars.

Made me giggle in the morning

I was yelling at two drunken British guys in the elevator...

... in my dream.

Relaxing Day

Another relaxing day.
I did pretty much same thing as yesterday.
Stayed in bed later though till 10:30.
I couldn't sleep last night so I was talking to Z till 4 in the morning.
Seems he had an interesting morning.
I was talking to him earlier 10 in the morning for him, 11 at night for me. Then he said "I have to evacuate." "huh?" "Fire alarm went off." "oh then you should go eh?" Glad nothing really happened there.
After that I was reading and when I finished it was 2:30 in the morning and I couldn't sleep...
Always nice to know that someone is always there for me. I chatted with Z this morning too.
Anyways, I did yoga and relaxed whole day. I studied a bit as I promised Z.

Something made me think about some stuff. And I kinda feel better somehow.

Book Meme

Got the baton from Nicole a while ago.

Total Books Owned:
When I was in elementary school we had a book shelf back of the class room. I have two of them in my room exactly same ones. Guess about 500 there. Another hundred or so in my closet.

Last Book I Bought:
I went to a book store today. Bought a book called "Welcome to Temptation" by Jennifer Crusie.
Yeah, romance/mystery book. I like them.
I aloso ordered two books. (haven't gotten them yet though) "In her shoes" by Jennifer Weiner and "ダーリンの頭の中"

Last Book(s) I Read:
Last night when I was in bed, I was reading "陰陽師 Onmyoji 飛天ノ巻" (two Onmyoji movies. description in English) I like the quiet melancholy short stories.

Books I Like To Read:
I like mystery books. I have lots of Agatha Christie's book. Colloecting since I was 10 or so.
Anything involving romance I like.
But I like to read pretty much anything. I like to read. I read everyday.

Books That Mean A Lot To Me:
Anne of Green Gables. I grew up with the book. I couldn't really understand why "always daydreaming crazy talkative skinny" girl was loved so much by people around her though. I kept reading it again and again.
The Diary of a Young Girl. When I read it, I was shocked. Never thought about you can have such a life. I think I won a some kind of prize writing an essay about the book.

Oh well, any books mean something to me. Even those boring ones.

Home Alone

Home alone today.
And day off.
Stayed in bed till 9:30.
Did some stretch.
Chatted with a friend. We might be able to see each other in Nov in Japan.
Went shopping alone. Walking around a mall near by. Being alone in a crowd is kinda relaxing.
Pizza for lunch! yay! Great thing they have a size "extra small". :)
Yoga and more stretch.
And I did bathe for an hour. Another relaxing time.
well... I guess I should've studied today... exam is coming. er... it's next weekend.

Body Work

Last few months I often was home on Tuesday.
So I happened to watch this tv show called "Body Work" (Japanese only) on Discovery channel.
It's about cosmetic surgery, face lifting, breast enlargement etc etc.
I think I talked about this show before here... it just so scary but I can't take my eyes away from the show. It is like watching horror movies to me.
So far how many times I watch the show, I just don't understand it. I don't understand the pain!
And most of them who's doing it looks good to me before the surgery.
Gee I'm babbling same thing again and again. Look how exciting my life is!

7 weeks to go till my vacation!

50

More days to go.
Feels far far far away.
Some days I feel like "Nov is just around the corner!"
Some days I feel like "Nov... when is Nov? Where is Nov???"
Today is "where is..." day... oh well, day off tomorrow. I would feel better then. haha

Lazy Saturday

Day off today. I have lots of day offs this month. Only work for 19 days.
Next month I should work hard (or at least going to work few more days) then I will have my 10 days vacation in November. Seems like my co-worker will have a week off in Nov about same time as I will. He's going to Vancouver. First trip to Canada and first trip by himself I guess. Hope he'll have some fun.
I still have 7 weeks...

Today I was gonna go to the gym though my mom wants to go out and she also wants someone to be home to get a delivery which who knows when arrives. So I decided to stay in.
Went out to pick up a yoga mat finally half an hour ago.

My exercise goods. I will do yoga in the afternoon and relax. When I'm supposed studying hard... exam is coming soon. I guess in a couple of weeks. Oh well, I will probably be able to take another exam next year... haha just don't feel like studying.

Today At Work

Today at work...

"so if you have a BF. And you guys decided to have a date next Sunday. Then your close friend who lives far away called you. You haven't seen her for long time. She says she'll be in town next weekend and have sometime on Sunday, so she wants to get together."

"... okay"

"Then what would you do?"

"What do you mean what would I do?"

"Would you tell your BF about your friend will be in town so you wanna meet her instead of seeing him?"

"Yeah, sure."

"Then if your BF wouldn't like the idea that you wanna go to see your friend, not him. And he tells you not to go. What would you do?"

"huh? he says what?!"

"Don't go."

"What the f&%$ is that?"

"That's right! That's normal huh?"

"What's normal?"

"To tell him he's being unreasonable."

"Yeah, if the date would be the special one. Then it's different though if you see him regularly and it's just a normal date then why can't you switch the date to different day?"

"Exactly! well, I heard A's BF said Why you wanna see your friend? Don't need to see her eh? I asked you first."

"Oh my gosh!"

Well, guys what do you think about this conversation?
(confused blue one was me.)

Do You Agree?

Everything is about the timing.

Weekend off

I had a weekend off. Haven't had it for long time.
Today was general election day here in Japan. I went to vote in the morning.
Then my mom and I went shopping. I wanted to buy a yoga mat. But when I got to the shopping mall, I completely forgot about the yoga mat. We did some shopping and went home. After few hours, mom said "We went shopping cuz you wanted to buy yoga mat didn't we?" I was like "Oh!"...
So I will go back there maybe on Wed. My next day off.
59 more days to go till my vacation.
8 more weeks to go. Hey that sounds better.

You are so high

I found this at the star.com.

The Royal Ontario Museum wants to demolish the defunct McLaughlin Planetarium and replace it with a 46-storey tower that will house multi-million-dollar condos.
An employee of Graywood Developments Ltd., which has partnered with the ROM to develop the property, told the Star the tower would have four condominium units per floor, each about 3,000 square feet.
The estimated asking price would be around $3 million, with the penthouse possibly costing as much as $50 million. Forty floors would be condos.
The proposal will likely be opposed by at least two residents' groups, who say it is too big.
But William Thorsell, director and CEO of the ROM, said it means the museum can pay for the next phase of its Renaissance ROM project, in which the museum is being renovated and expanded to give the public access to more of its collections.
"We're getting substantial revenue out of this," he said yesterday.
Earlier yesterday the ROM applied to have the property rezoned to permit the development. The area is now zoned institutional and the ROM has requested it be changed to institutional/residential.
According to the ROM's website, the first five floors of the building would provide offices, storage and a link to the museum's main building.
Located at 90 Queen's Park and called ROM South, the plan also calls for a public plaza and improved subway access on the site that now houses the planetarium, long used as a storage site by the museum. It will include a pedestrian overpass connecting Queen's Park and Philosopher's Walk.
"Hopefully we'll get a yes for this and it will be great," Thorsell said.
But Councillor Olivia Chow, who represents the area, said the tower faces major obstacles.
"It's about the same height as the Toronto-Dominion Centre. It is much higher than anything around it," Chow said yesterday.
Residents who viewed the proposal at a meeting this week "were quite taken aback by the size," said Chow (Ward 20, Trinity-Spadina).
Meanwhile, Councillor Kyle Rae, who represents the ward to the east, called the project "an interesting proposition."
"The ROM has shown they're taking leadership on urban design with their new expansion on the north," Rae said. "They've got a site to the south that's a perfect location for a high-end condo very similar to what the Museum of Modern Art has done in New York City, where there's a condo right beside it."
But ratepayers groups aren't so sure.
Sue Dexter of the Harbord Village Residents' Association said there is "a lot of opposition in the community."
"This is selling off assets to afford things we can't afford to do," Dexter said. Instead, the ROM should wait until it has the money, she said.
David Powell, president of the Huron-Sussex Residents' Organization, said it doesn't fit into the neighbourhood.
"It's just over the top, it's too big, it's so tall."
with files from paul moloney and Dana Brown.

I'm still not sure if I like the looks of new ROM.
Well, we'll see how it'll turn out eh?
